Architecture always mirrors the forces that are accountable for its origin. Unfortunately this also applies to the predominant amount of ‘ugly’ industrial and commercial buildings. It appears that companies classify their buildings’ appearance as an annoying necessity even though architecture is the most fundamental and permanent expression of culture.

A creative master plan, regarding form, materials and colors hast to be developed for every respective task. This ‘graceful’ master plan should be recognizable from the inside as well from the outside to the extent of details. In doing so, proportion of facades or the use of paint are only secondary characteristics while the tectonics of the volumes and the distribution of the buildings that form the essence. The confusion of the economic goal profitability with cheapness justifies way too often anonymity, banality and ugliness. Graceful industrial and commercial architecture arises from structural order, simplicity and the balance of unity and diversity.
